Meet Aiden W.
A Brave Star Wars Fan’s Battle with Neuroblastoma
For 15 grueling months, Aiden endured a gauntlet of treatments: chemotherapy, major surgery, a stem cell transplant, radiation, and painful antibody treatments. His resilience shone through when, after surgery in 2013, he was declared to have no evidence of disease. Yet, like any true hero’s journey, the battle was far from over.
The Force Was Strong: 501st Garrison Meets Their Bravest Fan
For the next two years and three months, Aiden and his family fought with everything they had. They traversed the country seeking experimental treatments, never giving up hope. Throughout it all, Aiden’s beautiful spirit, quick wit, kind heart, and fun-loving attitude touched everyone he met.
AngelWorks stepped in to bring joy to Aiden’s life during this difficult time. They organized a spectacular 7th birthday party at LazerKraze, complete with a visit from the Garrison 501st Star Wars characters – a dream come true for the young Star Wars fan.
