Ellie Hite
The AngelWorks Foundation
Founder & President
Ellie Hite is the passionate founder of AngelWorks Foundation, established in 2004 to support families affected by childhood cancer. She also owns Elite Sales, an AuctionOhio affiliate. A mother of four and grandmother of three, Ellie enjoys hiking in Fairfield and Hocking counties when not devoting her time to AngelWorks.
Inspired by the bravery of young cancer warriors, Ellie has dedicated her life to providing financial and emotional support to affected families while advocating for better research funding and treatment options. She finds purpose in her work, guided by Abraham Lincoln’s motto, “No man stands so tall as when he stoops to help a child.”
Ellie’s commitment to creating ripples of change embodies Mother Teresa’s philosophy of making a difference through individual action. Her unwavering dedication continues to drive AngelWorks’ mission and impact.
Paula Aquizap | ATG
Marketing Manager
Paula Azuizap is a Senior Proposal Writer with a diverse professional background. Her career began in the Christian music industry, where she spent six years as a publicist and three years as a full-time Road Manager for a Christian artist. Currently, she works in business development for a corporate travel management company.
Paula’s passion for exploration has led her to visit 49 states and numerous countries. This love for travel complements her professional experience and provides a unique perspective to her work.
Paula’s involvement with AngelWorks began over 15 years ago through a corporate giving initiative. Impressed by the organization’s mission, she volunteered her marketing skills, which led to a board position. Now, Paula manages communications and marketing for AngelWorks while researching and applying for charitable giving opportunities. Her dedication to the cause reflects her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Chuck Arbuckle
Matt Erney | Social Firm
Matt Erney is the Founder and CEO of Social Firm, a digital agency he established to help growth-minded organizations compete effectively through strategic messaging. With expertise in website development, information technology, and search engine optimization, Matt leads the Strategic Marketing team at Social Firm, solving complex problems and identifying innovative solutions.
Matt’s connection with AngelWorks began in 2010 when he started the Erney Tourney golf outing to honor his mother’s battle with breast cancer. After meeting Ellie, he chose AngelWorks as the beneficiary and later joined the board, guiding the organization’s marketing and growth strategies.
Married to his wife, Sheena, Matt is a father of four who enjoys golfing, family activities, and traveling. He lives by the motto: “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” This motto embodies his belief in intentionality and focused action to achieve greatness.

Dave Gawel | Renier Construction
David Gawel brings nearly 40 years of automotive industry experience to the AngelWorks board. His career spanned roles from GM district manager to owning Chevrolet and Chrysler dealerships, concluding with a position at Renier Construction before retiring in 2022. David and his wife Cheryl, who have been married for 48 years, reside in Lewis Center and enjoy traveling and spoiling their five grandchildren.
David’s connection with AngelWorks began through the Gahanna Rotary Club, where he was moved by founder Ellie Hite’s presentation on pediatric cancer awareness. Inspired by the organization’s mission to support families affected by childhood cancer, David became a dedicated supporter and board member.
With his extensive business background and strong work ethic, David lives by the motto: “The harder you work, the luckier you get!” His commitment to AngelWorks reflects his desire to make a meaningful impact in his community.

Keri Streby, MD | Nationwide Children’s Hospital
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at OSU
Dr. Keri A. Streby is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Oncologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital/The Ohio State University. With a decade of experience, she directs the Neuroblastoma Program and serves on the national Children’s Oncology Group Neuroblastoma Committee.
As an AngelWorks board member, Dr. Streby recognizes the profound impact of pediatric cancer on families. She values the organization’s commitment to providing care, compassion, and practical support during challenging times. Dr. Streby also appreciates AngelWorks’ efforts to assist with funeral costs and bring joy through holiday gifts.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Streby enjoys Ohio State football games, reading, shopping, and spending time with her family and her two cats. She lives by the J.R.R. Tolkien quote, “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

Kim Teetzel | ICAST & Renier Construction
Kim Teetzel is a seasoned marketing professional with over 35 years of experience across various industries. She currently works with ICAST and Renier Construction. An Ohio University graduate with degrees in Marketing and English, Kim appreciates the creative and analytical aspects of her field.
A lifelong Ohio resident, Kim is married with two sons, a daughter-in-law, and three granddaughters. She enjoys gardening, traveling, and college football.
Kim joined AngelWorks after meeting founder Ellie Hite through a colleague. Inspired by the organization’s mission, she initially volunteered before joining the board. Kim believes strongly in AngelWorks’ impact, considering it the most meaningful board on which she has served.
Living by the motto “Bloom where you are planted,” Kim brings her extensive marketing expertise and passion for helping others to her role at AngelWorks, contributing to its growth and impact on families affected by childhood cancer.
