Lisa’s Story – Warrior Mom to Charlie
AngelWorks and Ellie were true angels for my son, Charlie, and myself while he was fighting the awful brain tumor, DIPG. My cousin, who lives in Columbus, heard about this wonderful organization and we quickly received help in several different ways.
AngelWorks made it possible to have a fantastic “Cousin Week” in Dayton with all of our cousins. When another organization was not able to cover all the costs that were necessary to get 22 cousins together from Ohio and California, AngelWorks stepped in to help.
Ellie was also there at the end when we lost this terrible battle. She helped me with funeral expenses and some lingering medical bills. This was such an enormous burden lifted from me and I will be forever grateful.
Ellie was always so kind and supportive and was one of the many “Charlie’s Angels” who helped me get through this. My friends and I will always support AngelWorks!
