AngelTalks

Amplifying the Voices of Childhood Cancer Warriors

AngelTalks is a program of AngelWorks that uses powerful presentations to various groups—from community members to state legislators—to advocate for increased pediatric cancer funding and support for affected families.

Spreading the Word About Childhood Cancer

In 2019, AngelWorks took five childhood cancer warriors to meet with Ohio Governor Mike DeWine to discuss the great need to increase funding for childhood cancer research. Since then, AngelWorks has placed photos of 200 Ohio children who passed from pediatric cancer around the Ohio Statehouse Rotunda and later set up the display at Polaris Mall.

AngelWorks’ Ellie Hite is committed to being a voice for children battling cancer and is open to speaking invitations throughout the community.

Alexa’s Story – AngelWorks Warrior

I discovered AngelWorks when I was 15 years old and was going through treatments for Stage 4 Nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Since then I have spoken at several of AngelWorks’ events. I’ve come to know that this organization is run by pure hearted people who are just trying to put goodness out into the universe.

Ellie Hite of AngelWorks is the kind of person who instills hope and courage into you. I know she has done that for me. I’ve seen the instant smiles she puts on peoples’ faces and I can only hope that one day the world can be as radiant as she is.

I can’t think of any other organization that has made such an impact on my life.
